SWINGING back into pre-baby fitness can be a difficult task in the better of times.
But Endeavour Hills mums Rachel Nanfra and Sharon Allen have come up with an enjoyable and mum-friendly approach at Aerial Fitness 2 Day Diet Pills Studio in Narre Warren.
The category includes a cardio warm-up, basic pole spins and strength exercises on aerial hoops and silks.
"We do some pole routines and they're lifting their very own body weight and assisting to build core muscles again," Ms Nanfra said.
"It's ideal for mums to socialise, get fit and revel in serious amounts of themselves plus they don't even have to look for a sitter - they are able to bring
the kids to class."
The happy couple created the class after being bombarded with requests from mothers who couldn't afford sitters' fees plus gym memberships.
"When I spoke to new mums the most popular complaint wasn't time however the inconvenience and price to organise a sitter when they went to the gym," Ms
Nanfra said.
"Our beginner classes run at 8pm most nights and when a month we randomly offer a free class to everyone.
"Mums can't invest in a class every week, and that's why we charge $15 for an informal lesson and information on the free class gets posted on our Facebook
page."
Jean Hailes Professor of Womens' Health at Monash University, Jane Fisher, said young mothers often experienced social isolation after the birth of the
child.
"Often women's main social connections are with their work colleagues. It may be really lonely. They need possibilities to meet other women at the same life
stage in their area," she said.
"Women really welcome the opportunity to obtain physical strength back following the birth of a child, and something that allows these to do it in phases.
"Classes similar to this could be good because they are fun and involve interaction along with other women, so it might have multiple benefits."
